Villeneuve TRIAGE
In 2006, SNCF ceased freight train sorting operations at its Villeneuve-Saint-Georges site. However, this area still holds significant potential, with a 200-hectare railway revitalization project situated between RN6 and the Seine set to experience a revival. SNCF has already undertaken modernization and rationalization efforts for its activities. On January 31, 2018, a National Interest Contract (CIN) was signed. Initiated in June 2015 as part of the Grand Paris Workshops, the goal of this contract is to preserve the railway operations of the site and foster its economic renewal. Additionally, environmental and landscape considerations must be integrated to ensure balanced and harmonious development of the territory.
